            Shape memory plastic (polymer- SMP) is that have the ability to return from a transformed shape to permanent shape. The principle of this feature is a temperature change. According to the current researches of SMP, it is memorized the maximum 3 types of original shape when it builds as well as going to develop more in near future.

            Let’s think about applying SMP in automotive material industry. It can be applied to the part of seats or whole material of seats even structure of seats. Also, it can be handled some parts of instrumental panel or steering wheel. Imagine future interior with shape memory polymers. It means interior space can be transfer something different spaces.

            My concept vehicle interior, bekväm, going to use SMP materials to some of interior components and seats.

Interior seats can be changed their form to adapt with each passenger’s body type for their perfect comfortableness. Sometimes, they want to sleep deeply or try to relax their tense muscles. SMP are perfectly helped those situations. My purpose of interior design is closely related with how to apply SMP materials on interior components.
